A few words about how we travel:
Small multinational groups...
Travel to Mountains specializes in guided trekking adventures and hiking trips in small and multinational groups with members joining from all over Europe.
While travelling with us, you will be member of a small group of 4 to a maximum of 12 like-minded travellers, depending on the trip and destination.
The main spoken language during your trip will be English. Our guides are English-speakers, but of course members are free to communicate in whatever language they want between them. Please keep in mind that our guides usually speak their native language and English, some of them might speak some other languages as well…
Young members and young at heart...
Members should be of adequate constitution as our trips focus on trekking and hiking - without making a competition out of the trip! We want to enjoy nature and discover new cultures!
Our experience has shown that our guests are mostly in between 30 to about 65 years of age. Age is not of utmost importance, as even our older members usually are young of mind and open to new experiences…
Sustainable and fair travel...
TTM believes in sustainable and fair tourism, as do all our worldwide partners!
TTM works only with small and specialized local partner companies, that we have been working with for many past years.
TTM makes a point of staying in small, privately run hotels, guesthouses and family homestays to give us an insight into traditional everyday life off the beaten tourist tracks and to support the rural economy.
TTM considers the local trekking staff as friends and helpers. We provided fair wages and pay great attention to adequate equipment, insurances and even try to offer education to make our staff even more professional.
Respect and protection of nature...
Our treks and tours will take you into very remote areas with only very limited touristic infrastructure. It is our mission to respect and protect these highly sensitive and endangered environments!
